Sense Sonnet - Acher
As I lay Dying
As I lay dying, I did tell
My children that I wanted to
Go back to my hometown to dwell,
Resting in peace there where I grew
Up, and wanted my kids to go
Along with me so they could note
The ties to past that I did know
Of that place faraway remote.
My children promised that they would
Fulfill for me this last request.
Their assurance made me feel good
As I slipped into final rest.
My children, too busy I guess,
Sent me back home by U.P.S.
