Amazon River turtle, I

Be of the yellow spotted kind.

Yellow spots nature does apply

To my head, artfully designed.

Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo

I watch the people come and go.

A wall of glass I can look through,

Ever a daily human show.

Mostly in the water I be,

But at times on a log or rock,

Just hanging out waiting to see

The crowds of folks that by me walk.

After watching people a spell,

I take a break inside my shell.
