Show of Strength - LP Zoo

Around Earth Day, this rhino did
A strength show at Lincoln Park Zoo.
The stockade wood wall to me bid,
To prove to all I could butt through.
And sure enough, I charged ahead,
Pushing through wood poles to the ground.
Human onlookers looked in dread,
But I just grinned and turned around,
Across the yard and went inside.
I heard the keepers shut the door.
All the humans in relief sighed
That I'd chosen not to explore.

Since then I note the humans made
Reinforcements to the stockade.
