Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Barn Owls - LP Zoo

Barn owls at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
We can be seen down on the farm.
The only job we're asked to do
Is go owl out with all owl charm.
A white and heart shaped face with eyes
Sharp as well as talons and beak.
And ears the sharpest - no surprise,
Rarely not getting what we seek.
Why do farmers like us around?
Cuz we eat rodents left and right,
Hear them under snow on the ground,
As we fly silent through the night.

Unless you're rodent, come by
The big red barn, and owl shout hi.
