Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Papa Kwan - LP Zoo

The humans call it Father's Day.
It happens in June once a year.
Time for children to do and say
This and that to fill Dad with cheer.
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
My two gorilla girls I see,
Toting a package 'tween the two,
Both grinning handed it to me,
In bright paper tied with a bow.
I knew they wanted to please Dad,
So roared with delight - doncha know!
Worth seeing both girls so sure glad.

Opening, I tried not to sigh.
Where am I gonna wear a tie!
