Fossilized Odd Couple

In Gondwana, land of the old,
A flash flood came and swept a young
Amphibian in a hole holed
By Thrinaxodon, the name hung
On a mammal like cynodont.
Broomistega was the youth's name,
And just some shelter it did want.
Apparently old Thrin was game.
Fossils of Broom and Thrin were found
Together in a peaceful state,
Accepting of destinies bound
Together in a flooding fate.

No matter what differences be,
Any can live in harmony.
