The public's fooled by politics.
D.C. knows this is all sure bets.
The old are fooled by gimme this.
The young are fooled by gimme that.
So D.C. spends into abyss,
Pulling more pipe dreams from the hat.

Before the nightmare becomes real.
Most public stays a sleeping flock,
