On the Roid

Mayans said a few months ago,
All would be coming to an end.
Fateful day came and 'twas not so.
Now an asteroid does impend.
Predicted it will just zip by
Closer than any tracked before.
Might even see it in the sky -
First of asteroids many more,
Following on magnetic course,
Not yet detected by Earthlings,
But too soon will hit us in force.
Time and space - Earth disaster brings.

Maybe the Mayans missed on math.
Earth prepare for asteroid bath.
