Fir Revenge

Humans use plants to decorate,
And give a sensory appeal,
Places where humans congregate,
For most plants - tiz the final deal.
For example, take Christmas trees,
The final destiny to be
Covered in baubles so to please.
Dead for humans once a year spree.
One day aliens will come here,
A super evolved fir tree sort.
New decoratees will appear.
Humans will get the ax, in short.

Lit up and tinsilled in last breath,
Humans will feel holiday death.
