Presidential candidates do
Forget and make a slip of lip,
Actually saying something true,
But mindless, just letting it rip.
Obama spit the "bitter" pill,
And Romney did the "victim" dope,
Both caught at it as surely 'twill
To kick a while on self made rope.
Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt,
One wonders what their tongues did tell
In guarded moments how each felt
About vote blocs that gave them hell.

Truth told by a politician -
Something that tiz so rarely done!
