Legal Process

Troy Davis maintained to his end
That he was an innocent man.
The law however would not bend,
And killed him under legal plan.
Some say that lynch law happened here
In the deep south of time and place.
Legal killing is in high gear,
Especially of the black race.
But it is the legality
That dresses up the messy raw.
Always injustice there will be,
But always there must be the law.

Whatever laws are when or where,
Are made by humans - humans err.
