Sense Sonnet - Acher

Citizen Enemy

I was a U.S citizen,
Who became its sworn enemy,
Leading an army of like men
To make the U.S cease to be.
The U.S. tried to make me dead.
Any rights of citizenship
I had were gone, because I led
War against the U.S., to rip
Apart the nation I had known.
Attempts to kill me tried and failed.
My time knew no killing air drone,
But still so many deaths prevailed.

I surrendered and was set free.
I was General Robert E. Lee.
