Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Countless

If candidates want voted in,
Their mouths must sound to voters' ears
That the deficits are a sin.
But what to cut on, no one hears.
Just what cannot be cut is told.
Can't cut Social Security -
More and more voters getting old.
Can't cut defense 'cause to stay free
Government needs to spend big bucks.
So we elect the sound good tongues
Who join other mucketymucks
To do the same old D.C. dungs.

Something for sure in politics,
Campaigning and real math don't mix.
