Dumb and Dumber

The human was given the brain
That was supposed to be the best
Of all in the animal chain -
Superior to all the rest.
Most animals live on instinct
And that makes nature orderly
With lower life usefully linked.
But humans evolved in thought spree,
Ever thinking of stuff to do
That might satisfy the ego.
The only thing about them true -
Humans are dumb for what they know.

My turkey brain does what it ought.
I do not give humans much thought.
