Piece v Peace

The slow boiling frog metaphor
Is used by many to describe
American ways more and more.
But with all that scold diatribe,
We just continue to be dumb,
Letting the powers that be pinch
Us harder under big gov's thumb,
Socializing us inch by inch.
Day by day the dependence creeps,
Taking away more liberty.
Peace is what the government keeps.
It is just spelled differently.

Yes, government does keep the piece.
We have many pieces to fleece.
