Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Rosie the Riveter

I am Rosie the Riveter,
Called an icon in World War II.
Lots of gals like me, that's for sure,
Just doing what we have to do.
A full day in the factory,
A night of house work, but no man,
Just the kids and the pets and me.
A hard life to live, but I can,
And I've got it better than most.
No fortune but a lot of fame.
A Rockwell cover on the Post.
Everybody knows my name.

The jerks who put down me and mine -
Rivet them where the sun don't shine.
