Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Turks on the Move

The Turkey nation modern day
Has long seemed to bobble about,
Stuck in a stereotyped way
Of looking inside from the out.
Marginalized by friend and foe
As just somewhere to take up space,
And to be regarded as though
There was no purpose to the place.
A bridge between the east and west,
Turkey tires of being trod on,
So seeks emboldened ways to test
How others can be trod upon.

Turkey is yearning hard to be
Really taken seriously.
