Sense Sonnet - Acher

Gore Mates

Strange bedfellows in politics
And stranger to last 40 years.
Married and public life can mix
If the common goal perserveres.
Sacrifice to the rising star
Pressed into one identity.
Always one is - never two are.
Perceived two selves must never be.
So when the last run is deemed ran,
It's not surprising to be heard -
Separating woman from man.
Pundits of pol lip spread the word.

Al and Tipper Gore did the split.
An email first announced of it.
