Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Insult, then Fry

Of Islamic faith, I do know
That shoes are considered unclean;
And the sole of my shoe to show
To another is to demean.
Cameras were on evil Bush.
I threw my shoe for all to see.
It missed, but there's a worldwide push
To give hero status to me.
I only wish I'd hit the mark.
For that I'd willingly have died,
And done so happy as a lark.
Oh how I'm burning deep inside.

I did not know the fates that flew,
When I took off and threw my shoe.
