Wedding Shedding

As to being a blushing bride,
I preferred to be tanned instead.
So weeks before the wedding, I'd
Done the sun in the tanning bed.
Each salon restricted the time
That I could have the tanning done.
So in order to reach my prime,
I hit ten salons, one by one.
When at last came my wedding day,
I viewed my body with a grin.
The perfect tan had come my way.
All would be dazzled by my skin..

As I was walking down the aisle,
I shed my skin like a reptile.
