Will on Congress

Will Rogers watched the Congress be,
And then reported the large lack.
Taxpayed trips in grand luxury -
Too bad the Congressmen came back.
Congress in session oft turns out
Like a baby who gets a hold
Of a hammer. Without a doubt,
A disaster, but who to scold -
The one who hammered up the mess,
Or who elected to allow
The "babes" in Congress to excess.
There, the joke's on us, anyhow.
