Scene Block

Winston Churchill and his best pal,
Rufus, the poodle, did relax,
Watching a film. To boost morale,
They drank brandies and gobbled snacks.
Churchill had seen "Oliver Twist"
Before, but liked the film so much
That he simply could not resist
A rewatch to get back in touch
With the wonderful Dickens tale.
As the film neared where Bill Sykes did
Drown his dog to cover his trail,
Churchill turned to Rufus and bid,

"Let's not threaten your biddy byes."
Churchill covered the poodle's eyes.
