Cause of Death

Nicolas, the last Russian czar,
His wife, four daughters and one son,
Were under an unlucky star -
The Bolshevik Revolution.
Prisoners, they were taken to
A cellar and put in a pose
By Bolshevik guards, who then drew
Their weapons and massacred those
Of the Romanov line, whose crime
Was to represent the wrong side,
At the wrong place, at the wrong time.
A cause born, a family died.

How righteous can any cause be
In murdering a family?
