Slide on Stupid

I was drunk at a ski resort,
And wandered out into the night.
Thinking it would be such fun sport,
I untied a foam pad bound tight,
For safety, around a lift pole,
And took the pad to the slope top.
To rewarm my body and soul,
I emptied ev'ry whisky drop,
Tossed the bottle into the snow.
With butt on pad, zoomed down the slope.
Riding high, little did I know,
Too soon, metal would meet this dope.

I know now it was a dumb ride.
I hit the foamless pole, and died.
