Sense Sonnet - Chiller

Cut and Run

I had watched her for quite a while -
Her left hand specially so.
She wore jewelled rings worth a big pile,
And a bracelet - big pile of dough.
Had to get my hands on that stuff,
And do it quick, then get away.
It would be time consuming tough,
Piece by piece could take all day.
Having her remove at my urge,
She would be nervous and afraid.
A quick fix began to emerge,
Involving a machete blade.

It was easier than I planned.
After I chopped and took her hand.
