Sense Sonnet - Acher

Simply So

Miss Mary lived a simple life,
Throughout her ninety seven years,
Once daughter, sister, mother, wife,
Alone - beyond now shedding tears.
Miss Mary simply wanted all
To leave her well enough alone;
To let the cold of now befall
In numbing cloak, the times once known.
Miss Mary made a simple plea,
To be allowed a full release
From the chilling complexity
Of life on Earth. She prayed for peace.

Miss Mary simply was found dead,
Fetally frozen in her bed.
