Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Back to December

Back to that December you ask

For forgiveness from me to you.

I know it is no easy task

Admitting that you're sorry, true.

Spring, through summer, through fall we had

The very best of loving time.

But then came winter, all went bad

When I heard you tell me that I'm

No longer the one meant to be

With you, and surely broke my heart.

But then did make a better me,

A blessing that we went apart.

"And I go back to December,"

Forgiving what I remember.
