 Trickster

"Trick or treat" at the door I say.

Response is "trick," I'm challenged to

Write a poem of my choice way

In any style except haiku,

But must relate to "trick" preferred.

I'm always up for being dared,

Let creative juices be stirred,

Then pen in hand, this poem shared

By this pirate in place and time.

Tale of adventure to unfold

In rhyme and reason style, and I'm

Just a little kid, three years old.

So this poem is quite a trick,

I had to learn to write real quick.
