Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Pointedly

While walking in the desert, I

Did see a shadowed silhouette,

Got nearer and saw two cacti,

Sure looked like a human duet,

Kissing each other in embrace.

Had to get a picture of this,

So got my phone focused in place,

Snapping shots of this planted kiss.

But suddenly both cacti seemed

To notice me and take offense.

This sight and sound, I thought I dreamed.

Both yelled at me some vile comments.

These cacti surely seemed to me,

That in a prickly mood they be.
