Sense Sonnet - Acher

 No Peace

Mama held baby in her arms,

And hoping for peace coming, so

Maybe would be gone all war harms,

Off to war, her child would not go.

But Mama's child did grow up, and

No peace did come, but did come war.

Feeling duty to the child's land,

The child went off to fight with more.

And Mama's child was later found,

Just another war casualty.

Back to Mama, child was home bound

For burial of the body.

Yeah, one more Mama, one more shame,

Waiting for peace, that never came.
