Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Pass the Wheel

A bus driver, I loved my work,

Driving passengers here and there.

I felt a duty not to shirk,

In my hands were riders' welfare.

I drove the bus many a year,

But then came the time for me

To retire and pass on the steer.

And now as a passenger be,

Leave driving in capable hands

Of someone who in younger day

Would ride with me, and understands

Driving me safely on my way.

All in the family, no doubt,

My daughter drives my old bus route.
