 Song on My Mind

The band, Modest Mouse, came to mind,

Singing their hit, "Float On," and I

Remembered from it, I could find

The bright side to bad if I try.

So now I'm thinking, yes that song

Is really what I need right now

To help me better get along,

And make it through the bad somehow.

Just a short time ago all be

Good as I was on a cruise toward

A great new job and life for me,

But got drunk and fell overboard.

I know that cruse ship is long gone,

But, what the heck, I'll just float on.
