Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Dust Storm

I was outside, first time in days.

The dust storm came and stuck around,

Force of nature that could amaze,

Left dust everywhere on the ground.

Awful hard on the family,

Mom and Dad and the kids upset.

Not much attention paid to me.

Longer the storm, the more they'd fret.

But finally the storm let up,

And all of us ventured outside.

I rolled in the dust like a pup.

This old dog takes it all in stride.

The worst dust storm I've ever known,

Doggone finding a buried bone.
