Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Fire Starter
For me it all was just a blur
When, why and how our house burnt down.
Mood of the wife was bad for sure,
As on her face was one big frown.
I knew she would not long stay mute,
And sure enough her shouting came,
Shrill static from her in pursuit
For finding cause in me to blame.
The wife was pointing at my hand,
While shrieking at fault I did be.
I looked down and could understand
Now why the wife was blaming me.
Of course I was the wife's first pick,
Still holding the marshmallow stick.
