Sense Sonnet - Steamer
Walk on the Riled Side
As I'm walking toward him or her,
Who's looking down at their cell phone,
A big pet peeve of mine for sure
Puts me in a punishing tone.
For a long time I'd weave around,
Let the attentionless one by,
But now I choose to hold my ground,
Slow down and let the gal or guy
Walk right into me, hand they hold
Their phone I'm sure to bump into,
Making them drop, I say, " I'm old."
They're upset, but what can they do?
At the cracked phone phenomenon
I say, "So sad," as I walk on.
