 Truth for Pinocchio

Pinocchio did lie a lot,

And with each lie his nose did grow,

Till a very long nose he got.

The truth of this he needed know,

So asked Jiminy Cricket why.

From Jiminy the truth be told,

Because Pinocchio did lie

And then Jiminy feeling bold

Said another truth his friend should

Know was Pinocchio was made

Not of flesh and bone but of wood.

Pinocchio was so dismayed.

As he called Jiminy a liar,

Pinocchio's hand caught on fire.
