Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Wall Flower

Wall flower I was as a teen,

Another term for introvert.

At school dances I would be seen,

But never asked to dance, which hurt.

To the dances I had to go,

Because Mom was a chaperone,

And said the more that there I'd show,

The more I'd dance, but sat alone.

Finally, Mom gave up on me,

But I still went just to spite her,

Miserable wall flower be.

Dances for me were hell for sure.

Alone with many in the room,

Wondering if I'd ever bloom.
