 Valentine's Day Blues

I was lucky that the wife be

Easy to please Valentine's Day,

Not expecting too much from me.

I was happy that was her way,

Cuz that meant that I could spend more

On my girlfriend for real good stuff,

The wife's gift just a token chore.

A cheap something was quite enough

To keep peace in my married life.

Coming Valentine's Day of course,

What would she like I asked the wife.

She said she would like a divorce.

This broke my heart, I can't pretend,

Much more than I wanted to spend.
