A huge live organism known

As the world's largest living tree.

Forty seven thousand trunks that

Are all connected by roots same

In this high mountain habitat,

Allowing a single tree claim.

Pando is Latin for "I spread"

Over a hundred acres to

Quake leaves of summer green ahead

Of fall leaves quaking golden hue.

O'er thirteen million pounds of weight,

Pando, one tree to contemplate.
