Sense Sonnet - Pumper
This Daughter's Choice
A little girl you said I be,
Concerned there be the circumstance
Maybe my Daddy did hurt me,
You wondered while we two did dance.
Cuz Daddy is a soldier and
Lived life serving from war to war,
A life you did not understand,
So fussed about me more and more
That Daddy's views have poisoned how
Sweet little me feels on my own.
I told you to get lost and now
Feel better that I dance alone.
I am a soldier's daughter, true,
And now I am a soldier too.
