Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Fleeting Time
Made captain, but just fleetingly.
My crew did think I was too stern.
They would not bow to rules that be.
Their bad deportment made me burn.
Slew of new resentments amassed,
But I stayed anchored in my hold,
Warning crew to cease and desist.
But knot to be, the crew so bold,
Did, oh buoy, mutiny my ship,
And upon me lowered the boom.
Off a short plank I took a trip,
Course deviated into doom.
Thrown overboard on my first day,
Rudder upsetting I must say.
