Nature Likes Lichen
The life form lichen we be called.
Not an animal, not a plant,
An algae fungi mix found sprawled.
On most surface we gallivant
In a relationship of worth,
Give and take of mutual need.
We can survive all over Earth,
Long living and hardy indeed.
Now for the purpose of this rhyme,
We do particularly be
On rock surface in place and time,
But rude and simple - no not we!
We're complicated and polite.
Lichen are Mom Nature's delight.
