 Makeover

The human family that got

This pumpkin for a carve to do,

Let their youngest loose who did not

Use the knife thinking a plan through.

The kid just stabbed me here and there,

Then took off getting kind of bored.

So Mom, who had some artsy flair,

Carved detailed eyes top of this gourd,

Then carved my mouth with clever tweak,

Way down and over on far side,

Portraying me with tongue in cheek.

Quite artfully Mom's knife did glide.

All in all I'm fine with my pose.

Mom left my stem to be my nose.
