Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 A.P. Contests

I've been in A.P. not too long,

Just passed a year two months ago.

The contests keep me striving strong,

Keeps me in shape for more outflow

Of sonnets in same structured rhyme.

Before A.P., new ideas were

Harder to seek, now all the time

The contests give incentives  sure.

I do not use prewrites becuz

Been there, done that, my sonnet told.

I seek the what can be, not was,

Even if prewrite turned to gold.

Each A.P. contest I do find

Is a challenge put to my mind.
