Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Color Me Pink
I am a pink pig and muse why
Not colored like the onyx steer,
Or like that pesky cobalt fly,
Or eggshell as the sheep appear.
And what about the crimson hen,
Or pumpkin pumpkins in the field.
The farmer's got butterscotch skin.
His wife is hued all orange unpeeled.
The summer elms are emerald green,
And then there are ivory ducks
'Neath maple maples in fall scene,
With all the chocolate wood chuck.
But I am glad I match, I think,
With nearby roses, also pink.
