Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Savant for a Day
When I was ten, playing baseball,
A ball struck left side of my head.
I had no memory at all.
My family were filled with dread.
The doctors said I needed rest,
And hopefully my head would heal.
But nobody sure could have guessed
Something happened to me unreal.
When I got home, I went right to
Mom's piano, score after score
Of classic pieces I did do.
Never played piano before.
It all lasted for just a day.
Whatever happened went away.
