Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Trobairitz

In middle ages in France old

There became in vogue a word for

An entertaining one who told

Tales in song, called a troubadour.

I was such a person who sang

Songs mainly to my kind of crowd.

With well to do I liked to hang,

And for their pleasure, sing aloud

The songs that could bring them to tears,

And pleaded with me to sing more,

Giving me such applause and cheers,

And lots of coin I hoped to score.

Since male a troubadour befits,

Just call this gal a trobairitz.
