 Pie in the Sky - LP Zoo

This chimp had decided to do

The making of a pumpkin pie

Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.

I grabbed a pumpkin, and then I

Took it way up into a tree,

So I could keep a lookout for

The other chimps bothering me.

Should the pumpkin pie be mine or

Should it with all the troop be shared?

I would have the answer to that

Once my pumpkin pie was prepared

Up high above the habitat.

No pumpkin pie did come about.

My urge to eat, the cause no doubt.
