Pre Disney Pinocchio

Pinocchio, the puppet boy,
Before the film Walt Disney made
Was not a character of joy,
But would behave in nasty grade.
Not only telling lots of lies,
Causing his nose to grow and grow,
All around him he'd terrorize,
Even maker Gioppetto.
In the book, Pinocchio died.
He was hanged by a fox and cat.
But then Walt Disney did decide
To nicefy the wooden brat.

A good Pinocchio found fame,
And real boy the puppet became.
