Shake, rattle and roll this snake do,
The Eastern massasauga kind,
Being raised at Lincoln Park Zoo,
Then to the wild, a home to find,
An eco system hopefully
Where they not only will survive,
But a protected place to be
Where this species will truly thrive.
This rattlesnake deserves the chance
To have its time and place on Earth,
In co-existing circumstance
With humans. All life is of worth.

When asked to help, please heed the call.
